Kumkumadi Oil
Kumkumadi Oil
Taken ayurveda's original brightening formula — now with the science behind it.
Details
Kumkumadi isn't new. It's a formulation that's been used for centuries to treat pigmentation, dullness and modern research on its core ingredient, saffron, is finally catching up to what the tradition already knew.
This is a 20+ ingredient formulation built around saffron (crocin), studied for its ability to inhibit melanin production by acting on the tyrosinase pathway, the same mechanism most modern brightening actives target, just from a plant source instead of a lab. Layered with sandalwood, manjistha and other actives, it's formulated to fade pigmentation, brighten tone and restore radiance without disrupting the skin barrier.
What it does:
- Targets pigmentation and dark spots at the source (tyrosinase inhibition)
- Brightens dull, uneven skin tone
- Restores natural radiance
- Nourishes and repairs without stripping the barrier
Ingredient
Saffron, sandalwood, lac, indian madder, sappan wood or indian redwood, pollen of lotus flower, licorice root extract, wild himalayan cherry, leaves of the banayan tree and vetiver roots, indian barberry, blue lotus, mahua, bael and indian trumpet flower, seasame oil
How to use it
How to use it:
2–3 drops on cleansed skin, at night. Press in: don't rub. Follow with Kansa Wand massage for deeper absorption. Best used consistently; pigmentation responds to time, not overnight fixes.
Skin type: Suits dry skin, mature skin.
A note on evidence: Most clinical research on saffron and crocin comes from international studies, not India-specific trials, we're upfront about that gap, same as we are with all our actives.
